    Good 1st timer podcast. I remember when I struggled with these questions just 2 years ago. Then I met Jeff Galloway, became a Maniac, achieved Titanium on my 53rd marathon ( or ultra) )and havent looked back. What I now know that was a mystery back then…. Dont sweat the small stuff, you can always make adjustments to your training. Dont get too attached to any shoe, sock, shirt or gear… If you forget it on race day, you need to improvise and just get on with it. There will be good races and bad races, good weather and bad weather, sleepless nights and lousy hotels… Just make sure you know how to get to the starting line and have fun. Sometimes there wont be enought water, gels, Gatorade, insert just about anything here, so always be prepared. See ypu on the road. Ultra clydesdale.
